We are thrilled to introduce a series of new programmes aimed at inspiring the next generation and supporting educational goals in line with primary key stage targets. These opportunities, delivered by the Nottingham Hoods, offer a fun, engaging, and educational experience for school pupils in Nottinghamshire.
 
Programme Offerings:
 
1. School Coaching Sessions
  • Time: 9am-3pm (during school hours, including lunchtimes)
  • Details: Nottingham Hoods coaches will provide FUNdamental basketball training to pupils. 
  • Cost: From £35 per hour (school-funded, depending on location)
2. After School / Breakfast Club
  • Details: These clubs offer more in-depth basketball development sessions for students. The programme runs for half term blocks, with a minimun of 16 children. Pupils will also receive a free Nottingham Hoods t-shirt and a ticket to watch a professional game at the Nottingham Wildcats Arena.
  • Cost: from £4 per pupil per session (paid in advance per half term)
3. Hoods4Health Roadshow
  • Details: Four professional pl Aimed at Years 4, 5, and 6, this 2-hour session teaches pupils about fitness, healthy eating, and the dangers of smoking and a basketball skills session. The Road Show runs from October to April and culminates in a tournament at the Nottingham Hoods’ home court. Each child will that takes part in the roadshow will receive a free ticket to watch a Hoods professional game.
  • Cost: £400 per session with 4 additional hours of coaching or
  • £500 for sessions with 8 additional hours of coaching
4. Development Days
  • Details: Held before Nottingham Hoods home games (typically on Saturdays), these 90-minute sessions include basketball training, a meal, talks from coaches or players, activity booklets, a ticket to the game, and a meet-and-greet with the players. These sessions are ideal for Key Stage 2 pupils and can be arranged as school trips.
  • Free School assembly.
  • Cost: £15 per child (without transport), £25 per child (with transport, paid by participating pupils)
