The Nottingham Hoods Basketball Club is excited to unveil the full fixture list for the highly anticipated 2025/26 British Championship Basketball season. With a dynamic schedule of home and away matchups, the Hoods are set to build on last year’s momentum and deliver a thrilling campaign for supporters.

The new-look BCB will feature 14 teams, with newly promoted Bristol Flyers also taking part. 

The regular season will begin on Saturday, October 11, and will run through Sunday, April 12, as we crown a historic first-ever league champion. 

From there, the top eight sides will move on to the Playoffs with the final scheduled to take place on Sunday 10th May. 

Aside from the regular season, the BCB Trophy will also return as the 14 BCB teams and 2 Scottish teams to be announced, will once again compete for the trophy, with the sides separated into 4 groups in September.

The launch of the British Championship Basketball league represents the start of a new era — one built on ambition, professionalism, and a deep commitment to growing the game across the UK. From day one, our focus has been on creating a competitive, exciting, and sustainable platform for clubs, players, and fans alike. 

With 14 incredible teams, fierce rivalries, and a packed calendar of top-tier action, this season is set to capture the imagination of basketball fans up and down the country. I can’t wait for the first tip-off in September — the journey to crown our first BCB champion starts now.” 

The season tips off on Sunday 21 September 2025, when the Hoods welcome the Bristol Flyers to Nottingham in the BCB trophy. Over the months ahead, the team will face fierce competition across the league, including key home clashes against the Loughborough Riders (11 October), Hemel Storm (25 October), and Reading Rockets (29 November). The campaign concludes with a high-stakes home fixture against the Birmingham Rockets on Saturday 11 April 2026.

Head Coach Vladan and the entire roster are preparing intensively for what promises to be a landmark season both on and off the court. Fans can look forward to passionate performances, new rivalries, and an electric atmosphere at every game.
