The Nottingham Hoods are delighted to announce the signing of Micah Savery-Richards, a versatile 6’5” shooting guard/small forward, ahead of the upcoming season. At just 26 years old, Savery-Richards brings both experience and energy to the Hoods’ roster.
Having developed through some of the UK’s most respected pathways, Savery-Richards began his career with Leeds Force at junior level, before moving on to Barking Abbey, one of the country’s premier basketball academies. His talent earned him a move to the United States, where he played for Lewis and Clark Community College, gaining valuable international experience. Upon returning to the UK, he continued his career with the Yorkshire Dragons (formally Bradford Dragons), where he showcased his scoring ability and athleticism.
Now, he’s ready to make his mark in Nottingham.
Speaking about the move, Savery-Richards said:
“I’m really excited to get to work. We have a great group of guys down here with a lot of talent. We’re looking forward to putting on a show for the Hoods fans.”
Head Coach Vladan Dragosavac welcomed the signing, adding:
“Micah is a great addition to our roster. His versatility on the wing, experience on both sides of the Atlantic, and competitive edge will bring a lot to this team. We can’t wait to see him in a Hoods jersey.”
The Nottingham Hoods continue to build a dynamic and exciting squad for the new season, and fans can look forward to seeing Micah Savery-Richards in action at the inaugural Harvey Hadden game on Friday, 26 September.
