The Nottingham Hoods are thrilled to announce the signing of ASHRAF TCHADOUWA, a towering 6’8” centre from Canada, ahead of the upcoming British Championship Basketball season.

TCHADOUWA joins the Hoods from Salem College in the USA’s NCAA Division II, where he made a name for himself as a dominant force in the paint. In his senior season, he was the number one offensive rebounder in the entire country, averaging over 10 points per game and nearly 9 rebounds per game. His relentless work ethic and presence on the boards cemented his reputation as one of the hardest-working big men in college basketball.

Known for his size, strength, and ability to control the boards, TCHADOUWA’s arrival adds serious presence to the Hoods’ frontcourt. His defensive rim protection and offensive rebounding prowess are expected to make an immediate impact on the team’s style of play.

Head Coach Vladan Dragosavac shared his excitement:
“Ashraf is exactly the kind of player we’ve been looking for — physical, intelligent, and committed to doing the dirty work that wins games. His rebounding numbers speak for themselves, and we can’t wait to see him in a Hoods jersey.”

TCHADOUWA expressed his enthusiasm about joining the Hoods:
“After speaking to the coaches about the project and the potential within this team, I was convinced that this was the right move for me to progress my career and represent Nottingham.”

Fans will get their first chance to see TCHADOUWA in action when the Hoods tip off their pre-season fixtures next month against USA Select on 6 September.
