The Nottingham Hoods are thrilled to announce the signing of forward Bryce Johnson. Bringing collegiate-level experience, rebounding prowess, and scoring capability to the Hoods’ roster.

A 6′6″ (198 cm) graduate student out of Sacred Heart University, Johnson arrives from a strong recent campaign in which he led the program in rebounds and added consistent scoring support. During the 2024–25 season, he made 32 appearances (14 starts), averaged 9.7 points per game, and hauled in 5.9 rebounds per outing. He also crossed the 1,000-career-point threshold in a postseason game and recorded three double-doubles over the course of the season.

Before his time at Sacred Heart, Johnson played for Northeastern University, where he developed a reputation for his consistency and toughness on both ends of the floor. At Sacred Heart, he was a key figure on the boards, ranking second on the team in rebounding, while also contributing as a reliable scorer.

Originally from Stockton, California, Johnson played his high school basketball at St. Mary’s and comes from a basketball family, his father, John, played college basketball at Kentucky Wesleyan. While at Sacred Heart, Johnson majored in Business.

He has proven himself at the collegiate level and now has an opportunity to bring that to the professional stage here in Nottingham. We expect him to make an immediate impact.”

Johnson added:

Johnson will be making his first Hoods appearance in tomorrow’s fixture at Derby Trailblazers.
