The Nottingham Hoods are thrilled to announce the return of Sam Akano for the upcoming 2025/26 season. The dynamic, quick-footed guard has committed to another year with the club, bringing energy, leadership, and tenacity back to the Hoods’ backcourt.

Akano, known for his explosive first step and relentless work ethic, was a fan favorite last season and made a significant impact on both ends of the court. As a floor general and defensive spark plug, his return marks a key piece in the Hoods’ plans for the year ahead.

In his own words, Akano expressed his excitement:

“I’m thrilled to be coming back for another year. There’s a lot of amazing things happening within the club, and I’m happy to be a part of it. I can’t wait to get to work and to play in front of the Hoods family again.”

Head Coach Vladan Dragosavac shared his enthusiasm:
